Short-term medical trips

Whether you have special medical training or not, you can play an important part in God's work on one of FAME's Short-term Mission Trips. While doctors, nurses, dentists and other medical professionals play an obvious role on FAME's short-term trips, electricians, teachers, business people, pastors, stay-at-home moms and anybody else with a heart for Christ are needed just as much.

Short-Term Trips FAQs

Below are answers to our most frequently asked questions dealing with short-term trips.

If you have specific questions, email .

Is there an application process?

Yes. Each potential participant must complete and submit a FAME trip application along with a $50 deposit that goes toward the total cost of the trip.

Is there an application deadline?

No. However, the longer you wait to apply, the less likely you are to receive a lower-priced airline ticket.

What does the total cost of the trip include?

It includes airfare, housing, food, transportation in country, travel insurance and administrative fees. It does not include the cost of a passport, any immunizations that the participant receives, food that is purchased stateside or souvenirs. In addition, the total cost of the trip may vary slightly with some participants depending on the cost of the airfare to and from their departure city.

Is my deposit or money contributed and designated toward the trip refundable?

No. If a participant backs out of a trip, the money that has been donated to FAME can be designated toward a future short-term trip with FAME or will be accepted as a gift made to the ministry of FAME.
