FAME exists to provide healing for the whole man through medicine and evangelism. This motto came from Dr. David Grubbs in a thesis as to why there needs to be an organization called FAME that he wrote in the late 1960's.

The word FAME comes from Luke 4:14 (King James Version) where Luke writes about Jesus and his ability to heal. 14And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
