Over 46,000 refugees are fleeing Sudan, returning to South Sudan, the country many of them fled during the civil war 6 years ago!
In the capital city, Khartoum, the fighting between rival Generals included airstrikes and fighting in neighborhood streets. One family reports trying to get a bus ticket but ended up taking the journey in a donkey cart stacked with their only remaining belongings.
Obviously, this influx of people creates a humanitarian crisis including food, water, and medical care!
One of your FAME partners is in the middle of caring for many of these displaced people,
AND YOU MADE IT POSSIBLE!
Dr. John of the clinic in Malek, South Sudan is not only caring for primary care needs, but a new maternity clinic and delivery room which FAME funded, was planned to be treating 45-55 mothers before this crisis; NOW it is going to be ready for even more!
Refugees touch the heart of God, and we know they matter to you – and YOU ARE HELPING! This is to let you know that the crisis’ you hear about in the news – are places that YOU are often making a difference when you partner with FAME!
Thank you for touching the lives of the world’s most vulnerable!

So last week FAME sent hundreds of folding walkers, and specialized wheelchairs to this partner which is serving these people! Many of your FAME global partners are not able to use these supplies because of the lack of smooth surfaces, but this region is perfect for these supplies.
hope to people in their communities both physically and spiritually, like Daniel Koitatoi from Kenya pictured here. The partners listed on the calendar this month are either hosts to our mission teams, missions where we have provided a grant for a sustainable healthcare project, or are a partner mission to whom we have sent much-needed medical supplies. We also would like you to join us in prayer for some local mission organizations here in the US with whom we partner. It is such a blessing to have so many with whom we can partner to share the love of Christ through medical evangelism.

hospital and clinic serve. He was sharing with the FAME staff about their work and the shipping of medical supplies from FAME to their new Maternity Clinic!
One of the supplies sent to Guinea is “blue surgical towels” that are donated from a children’s hospital here in Indy on a regular basis. This bag in the photo brought on this response from John this week when he shared, “We are the only Hospital in the country of Guinea that has blue towels!”

that he had written. I came across one that I thought was such a good reminder of loving others. He wrote, Jesus spent His last evening before the crucifixion reminding the disciples of essential principles. Kneeling to wash their feet, He gave them a new commandment—to love one another. In fact, over the course of the evening, He would repeat that phrase five times (John 13:34-35; 15:12, 17). He emphasized the command because He knew it was not only critically important but also one of the toughest to obey.
