Church Planted!

“For many years we tried, as a mission and church, to be accepted in this village. But every effort was rejected—until now. Today, for the first time something was supported by the village, this FAME medical camp received the approval of the village elders, and we were introduced to many people we never would have had the chance to share the gospel with unless this team had come this week.”

That’s what a tribal ministry leader in Asia told our short-term team leader as they treated patients in the name of Jesus in a remote village.

This leader explained that for years they had sought many strategies to build relationships with the village. One family had come to faith, but starting a church in their home was met with resistance. Now, after consistent serving and love, a church is beginning to grow—bringing the hope of Jesus to a community that had never even heard His name before.
Stories like this are happening year after year, as your global partners follow the example of Jesus: meeting needs through healthcare, healing, and sharing the good news of the gospel.

Because of your partnership, medical evangelism is opening doors for the church around the world.

Thank you for making this possible!

Trusted

A powerful theme kept surfacing during a recent FAME staff meeting, shared by several team members who had just returned from visiting partners overseas or communicating with them.
The theme began with challenges, but it ends with very good news:

• Lack of trust in government clinics and hospitals
• Lack of consistency in medical services
• Lack of testing available for medical professionals
• Lack of results from tribal health options

These struggles only highlight the remarkable influence of your FAME partners:

In Kenya, the CHP Lab (provided by FAME) is now the very lab the government relies on for national studies.
In the Caribbean, a small one-room clinic behind a church is so trusted that it is overwhelmed and must expand.
In tribal regions, where people were cautious of government care, one doctor’s home visits opened doors for gospel outreach.
In the South Pacific, a FAME partner hospital now serves as the only dialysis center for most of the country.

Thank you. Your faithfulness is opening doors for Christians to share their faith through medicine—especially in places with no healthcare access or only limited care.

You are making a tremendous difference when you partner with FAME.

Tragedies Lead to Reflection

Whenever we hear of a tragedy—especially when it involves the loss of life—we are often led to ask, “Could anything have been done to prevent this?”

This week, both the date on the calendar and the news have stirred much reflection in me. Along with praying for those affected, I find myself asking, “What could be done?”

I just returned from visiting several countries and many of FAME’s global partners across Africa. First, I am encouraged to report that these partners are doing remarkable work on your behalf—sharing the good news and bringing help and hope to people through medical care. In each region I visited, this medical care simply did not exist before the arrival of these partners.

Secondly, the needs remain great. Stories of tragedy were shared everywhere I went, and they were evident in what I saw. Thousands of tragedies have already been prevented through these global partnerships—but there is still so much more that can be done. Each partner shared a vision with me of what they hope will be possible in the future, so that even more lives can be spared.

Today, I am encouraged because, through the partnership we share in FAME…
“Something CAN be done!”

This Fall, I will be working with several of these partners to plan solutions that will prevent tragedy and reduce risk through medical evangelism. I invite you to join me in praying that these solutions will be created, planned, funded, and carried out—lowering the vulnerability of thousands upon thousands of people. These new initiatives will build on the same types of projects, shipments, and teams that are currently made possible through the “Yes! Fund” and the partnership of people like you.

Thank you for joining us in bringing solutions through medical evangelism.

Refugees receive Compassionate Care

Because of YOU many great things happen from FAME partnerships. Because FAME staff are the best; the right people in the right place at the right time…. much ministry and evangelism occur just because of networking, listening, and caring about the global needs of the people of the world!

Refugees are one place FAME networking meets substantial needs!

Here is one example:

A few months ago, I received an “Urgent Request” from FAME — a nurse was needed to serve in Germany, providing care for about 40 Ukrainian refugees while their full-time nurse, J.J. traveled home for a much-needed break.

As a nurse with neuro ICU and hospice experience, I knew God was calling me to go, even though this was a 5 ½ week assignment — far longer than my previous FAME mission trips. After prayer and support from my family, I packed my bags.

When I arrived, I met four men with paraplegia who required daily care and careful monitoring. These men were kind, faithful, and full of gratitude — never complaining about their circumstances. Every morning, I provided wound care, mobility support, and encouragement. Mealtimes became sacred moments, sharing laughter, food, and fellowship across language barriers.

One of the most powerful moments came in my final week when one man, who had been confined to bed for months, joined me and the others for an outing to town. A few days later, I saw him outside again, smiling with friends. I couldn’t help but thank God — He was working through me, giving me the compassion and strength to meet not only physical needs but emotional ones as well.

Saying goodbye was one of the hardest parts of the trip. I cried with the residents I had come to love. Though I am home now, I carry their faces, their faith, and their joy with me.

Thank you for making this possible. Your support allowed me to be the hands and feet of Jesus for these refugees — sharing His love in both word and deed!  – John C.

Thank you for your partnership!

September Prayer Calendar

Dear Prayer Partner,

Thank you for your faithful partnership with the ministry of FAME through prayer. We are blessed to have you come alongside us in praying for those here in the U.S and those around the world.

This month we are excited to be sending a short-term team to Kenya to serve alongside
the ministry, Community Health Partners (CHP) in Narok, Kenya. Treating the basic health needs of people who will come seeking treatment is one of the ways our team can be used in ministry.

Medical outreaches open doors for our CHP hosts to engage in personal relationships with those who come to receive treatment from our team. Through those relationships, the good news of Jesus can be shared, and ultimately lives will be transformed.

Please pray for not only the trip participants that will be going, but also the leadership of
CHP, and the people the team will be treating in the name of Jesus.

We also invite your prayers for:

  • Our faithful volunteers who serve weekly and monthly.
  • Shipments of medical supplies—a 40’ container currently in transit to India, another container being loaded for Honduras, and the next container being prepared for the Dominican Republic.
  • FAME partners in Ghana and Kenya
  • Church visits that FAME Executive Director, Bill Warren will be making
  • The Spire Conference in Louisville that Bill and Jeff Coon, FAME Director of Development, will be attending on behalf of FAME.

Thank you again for partnering with us in prayer and blessings in the coming month
