This man repairs shoes for a living. But because of his disability, his work was limited to whatever people could bring directly to him. In his village, without sidewalks or paved roads, mobility was slow and extremely difficult. Even a traditional wheelchair was of little use.
But FAME Clinics are deeply connected to local churches. When the administrator and her team at the Makango, Ghana clinic heard about this member of Pistis Christian Church, they responded.
Thanks to a recent shipment to Ghana, a P.E.T. (Personal Energy Transportation) Cart was available and donated to this man so he could work again with dignity and independence.
