Mission:  RIMI (Reaching Indians Ministries International)
Missionaries:
Dr. Saji and Mony Lukos

RIMI’s Mission is to help in nation-building through transformational community development programs in South Asia and around the world, especially among the poor and marginalized.

Their work spans multiple areas, including health, education, and economic empowerment. In Nagpur, they operate a 30-bed hospital that offers 24/7 in-patient and out-patient services, alongside a nursing school providing basic training programs. They also promote health awareness through medical training seminars. To support youth development, RIMI runs elementary schools that include English language instruction. Additionally, they create employment opportunities through vocational training and economic empowerment initiatives for underprivileged communities. Together, these efforts aim to transform lives, strengthen communities, and offer hope to all people.

This team will join the efforts of the staff of RICM in providing healthcare teaching/training of nationals and local residents. Hands-on medical care for patients needing treatment will also be offered.  All efforts will advance the ministry of RICM in reaching out to people for Christ.

We are seeking medical professionals to join us as well as non-medical team participants.  Physicians, Nurses, NPs, PAs, Physical Therapists, and others are needed.

Treating the basic health needs of people who will come seeking treatment is one of the ways our team can be used in ministry. In addition, we hope to provide preventative health education that speaks to the specific health needs of the patient,

Medical outreaches open doors for our hosts to engage in personal relationships with those who come to receive treatment from our team. Through those relationships, the good news of Jesus can be shared, and ultimately lives will be transformed. Our ultimate goal is to bring glory to God in all that we do while serving in India! Our hosts need encouragement as they serve the Lord each and every day in some pretty challenging conditions. We want to join them as co-workers in the ministry they have been called to do. This experience is exciting, challenging, fulfilling, emotional, and most importantly, humbling.

In India, 443 million people live on less than $1 per day. Almost half of the children suffer from malnourishment – the highest rate in the world. Every day, 5000 children under the age of five years old die from preventable diseases. Economic progress is coming to parts of India, but much of the country still suffers from extreme poverty, malnutrition, disease, and illiteracy. Thousands die without knowing Jesus.

There are needs to be met and God’s love to be shared. Won’t you join us?
